Political talk to be held at barber shop
Lecture halls are so passĂŠ, apparently. The Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs is hosting a talk tonight on soccer and Arab revolutions.. in a barber shop.
The event is called "Soccer and the Arab Revolutions," and will be led by Mohamed El Rashidy, and Egyptian-born scholar and licensed referee with the Ontario Soccer Association. The discussion will centre around the use of soccer as a method of distraction and procurer of nationalism by autocratic regimes, and be held at the Terminal Barbershop 2 at Bay and Dundas. Start time is 7:30pm.
