Calico Cafe closes its doors

Calico Cafe, the popular vegetarian/vegan restaurant in Bloordale, has closed its doors. Chef Jared Davis told NOW Magazine that he's "taken the position of personal chef to a prominent family here in Toronto," which means deadpool for his cafe.

Although a confidentiality agreement forbids the chef from disclosing who his new employer is, he did reveal that "He's not old money or anything like that. He's young but he keeps to himself."

How mysterious -- and, if you loved Calico, sad.
