Jarvis lane changes causes confusion

Ah, and it begins.

According to the Toronto Star, commuters were already confused by some of the changes taking place on Jarvis Street this morning.

The centre lane was closed as preparations are being made to install bike lanes on both sides of the road. The traffic was bumper-to-bumper during the morning commute as the centre lane, which will soon disappear, was shut down. Some used the lane to make left turns, as well as the odd lone, cyclist enjoying a quick ride.

The bike lane installation project, which will cost roughly $65,000 (ok, I'm confused about that), should be completed by the end of the month.

Is this indicative of the commuter chaos to come?
