Telegramme Prints in Leslieville specializes in sourcing recently produced, high-quality printed artwork not for sale anywhere else in Canada. Their selection includes:

* Limited edition silkscreened gig posters (in the $26-$32 range) from Minneapolis' Aesthetic Apparatus, and Seattle's Patent Pending Industries.

* A dazzling assortment of $25 silkscreen-designed film posters originally distributed in Cuba in the decades following Castro's revolution.

* Remastered lithographs from the Re Collection: hand-pulled from antique French and German presses. Sold framed or unframed, these fine art lithographs recapture the Golden Age (1880-1939) of poster art. All are printed on museum-quality fine art papers.

* A diverse collection of signed conceptual drawings from the career of Christo and Jeanne Claude: The Gates in NYC, The Umbrellas in Japan, Surrounded Islands in Biscayne Bay and others. All proceeds benefit environmental initiatives.

Telegramme also offers framing services in partnership with the best frame suppliers and professionals in Toronto.

Since this article, Telegramme Prints has expanded.

In addition to the suppliers mentioned in the original article, we also have a wide range of different kinds of wildlife prints from the Cincinnati studio of the late modernist genius Charley Harper, starting at $35. Also, we have prints from Toronto designers Jacob
Rolfe, Tavis Coburn, Jose Garcia, prints from Kensington Market's Studio XIX, and gig posters from Parkdale's Doublenaut.

Other print developments: we have lots of amazing screenprints from Minneapolis based Burlesque of North America, and Texas based Decoder Ring Design Concern. See all our prints on www.telegramme.ca

Custom framing is a huge part of our business now. We have a full-time framer on staff with years of experience framing all kinds of precious and uncommon prints and artifacts. We use conservation framing techniques for every job. Plaque mounting services available.

Also, we're participating in the 2009 CONTACT Festival. In the mid 1980s, photographer STEVE EVANS knocked on doors in small communities in the Ottawa Valley offering to photograph the people he met. These arresting photos were originally published in the
award winning 1987 book HEART & SOUL.

NOW Magazine selected Telegramme Prints Best Posters in Toronto, 2008.
