Revkor Junction Toronto

Revkor Junction

Revkor is a 4,000- square foot loft studio in the Junction Triangle that promises to rebuild your body with resistance training using suspension bands.

Part of a chain of studios, this inaugural Toronto location has about four classes each day including revYOGA, a stability-based class, and revMIX, a high intensity workout.

revkor torontoThe Revkor experience is fun, welcoming and very sweaty. Don’t let the 50-minute express name fool you. It’s difficult and wonderfully unique.

revkor torontoThe suspension bands that hang from the ceiling are there to challenge you as you build up to varying levels of difficulty with the intent to work every party of your body.

The bands allow you to squat deeper, jump higher and move quicker from side-to-side.

revkor torontoAn instructor sweats along with you as they guide you through the different exercises.

revkor torontoThe bands, which hang from a ceiling, are made to be mixed and matched based on how much weight and intensity you want to add.

revkor torontoThe revMIX workout is an experience of truly pushing yourself for 45 or 60 minutes. It’s two totally different workouts, with the same goal – to strengthen you and leave no muscle behind.

revkor torontoThe revYOGA class is slower with more controlled exercises that still use the hanging resistance bands. The room is dimly lit, with gentle music playing, as you steadily work your triceps and oblique and glide into a downward dog.

revkor torontoThe lounge area showcases products available including Revkor’s exclusive apothecary made by Purdy Naturals in London, and jewellery by Rocking Vibe.

revkor torontoThere are two showers and a change room, but my favourite thing about Revkor – apart from the booty-kicking 45 minute express class – is the sitting area where you can hang out before or after class.
