Hi there,

I'm very interested in joining this gym, and the fact that you put it on your top list has helped my decision. However, I haven't heard of their rates being any lower than $45 a month. How did you get $18 a month?

I am currently a member of this gym (Pure Fitness), and I pay $70.00/month. However, I've heard from newer members that they pay $59.00/month, no initiation fee, and 3 free months. I paid an initiation fee when I started a year ago of $300, I believe. I approached the director and asked to have my monthly fee lowered, and he refused. Consequently, I've cancelled my membership, effective Feb. 28th (they required one month advance cancellation).
I am looking for another gym - any ideas? In the North York area. Thanks

These people are scum. They were scum when they ran Oxygen Fitness at Pape/Danforth, and they're scum now. They treat both staff and members abysmally. AVOID.

I find this gym to be pretty good. The instructors are all very helpful, and they have a good selection of classes. I didn't pay an initiation fee, and they also have a student discount. They run promotions at certain times of the year so if you join at the right time you can get a good rate.

Clean, huge, lots of classes, very hot steam room and recently renovated. What else could you ask from a gym. Lots of equipment with never a wait. I constantly see people cleaning up the floor, equipment, stairs and locker room.

I've been a member for a little over 2 years and I love it. Very clean and friendly staff.

I've been going to Pure Fitness for a while, and must say I have not had one complaint. Besides hosting the most optimal and clean equipment, the look and feel of the place does not say, "I'm a gym and I need to look like one". It has a tranquil design, accommodating services, and an incredible staff. I look forward to my workout everyday as I have begun to become more acquainted with the staff and trainers even.

I've tried almost all of the yoga classes. The instructors all have a different style, so I never get bored. This gym is definitely motivating, relaxing, and as fun as a gym could be.

I've been going to Pure Fitness for a year now and I've really enjoyed it so far.

The gym is excellent , high end machinery , very clean , never crowded .The staff is knowledgeable and professional and the gym has everything you need. So far I've been able to lose some weight and learn a whole lot more about being healthy.

I've told most of my friends about this place, so I figure I would also recommend it here.
