Still mourning the death of Hunter S. Thompson? Saddened by the fact that there hasn't been a public memorial service in his honour? Cheer up, goofball. Tonight the Royal is holding a special screening of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas at 9 PM! Grab your "tea-shades" and your buddies, enter the theatre and prepare to get Gonzo out of your system as a community.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is based on Hunter Thompson's seminal 1971 Rolling Stone article of the same title, and is the second film focusing on the twisted escapades of the king of 'Gonzo' journalism. Personally, I would rather attend a screening of Where The Buffalo Roam--it's been a few years since I've seen that one.

But is should be good times regardless. Dress up in Thompson gear. Get loaded. Cause a ruckus in true Gonzo fashion. And if the theatre manager has a problem with it, take the extinguisher off the wall and deal with him appropriately.
