Obviously you are bitter about something. What's wrong with being fashionably funemployed? Does everybody have to belong to the Rat Race? Focus on what YOU can do to be happier with yourself and let others be.

glee reference makes me like her less, still great legs. Glad she isn't pulling the hoochie heels, shorts collabo

Nope. I just don't want my tax dollars going to provide martini mixer while people live vicariously through their under construction websites.

these girls look frumpy,
and look like they invaded H&M.

but then again, spicesafar is a barf-smelling shit hole.
Perfect spot for this unemployed 'mixer'.

Wow. There are some small and bitter people on these boards. I was there that night and the room was packed with 200 beautiful and capable women, networking and building each other up instead of tearing each other down.

You wouldn't have liked it though, there were no 45-year old men there to flirt with to get free drinks from. These ladies paid their own way.

Sorry, how exactly did your tax dollars pay for the launch party of "Hip and Urban Girl" website? Did you read something about the HST that I didn't?

Oh yes, these career bloggers and other....I don't even know how to qualify these pseudo-jobs (Aly exempted)...are really people that I want to look up to as examples of successful women.

Of the 8 people profiled, it appears 1 has a real job, and of the 7 others, 5 of their websites are non-existant. Yes I am very impressed by these role model's who are sustaining themselves on the no doubt huge profits of their businesses that don't yet exist. I'm sure they paid for their inspiring wardrobes totally independantly.

I'm guessing Lauren's blazer weighs about 50lbs based on how she's standing.

I meant mixer as in so-delish lychee syrup, not an actual martini mixer. Tax dollars refers to the fact that none of these people have actual jobs and someone has to pay for fig ravioli at Terroni.

Personally I think all the ladies look great - way too much hatin going on here.

Well aren't you a miserable group of people? Sitting behind your computers, in your dusty little cubicles all day.. scanning "BLOGTO" for photos to comment on.... Congrats, guys! I'm sure it was a good day at the office! ;)

Do you feel better about yourself, anonymously insulting people over the internet?
You're not critics, you're just bitter cowards.

Ladies, don't be offended.. At all!
Take these ugly words as free promotion for your blogs and business ventures.
That's all a hater is good for :)

I don't work in a cubicle, but I am still going to comment negatively; though I like to think this is helpful advice.

It's not about the clothes though, I really don't give a shit. It's about the "occupations". Blogging is not an occupation, period. I suppose it occupies time, but that's about it. A tip to future Street Style interviewees: if you're too embarrassed to list your real job (or perhaps are unemployed), please do not answer "blogger".

I pitty the woman who would take "image" or style coaching from Lisa. does anyone else cringe when they come across the term "fashionista"? can we just kill that one off for good please!

Aly looks fantastic. Sexy & chic.

If they're dressed top to bottom in H&M, then maybe there's a problem (though even that's arguable). But last I checked, Gucci, YSL, and Gsus aren't H&M.

Sure, except I happen to know one of your "unemployed" bloggers and she works her ass off full time, while doing her blog at the same time. And she apparently looks fabulous all the while. Someone sounds jealous of people enjoying what THEY do!

This is just sad. Not one of these women has any sense of style with the exception of perhaps Aly. Fashion maybe. But not style. All tremendously boring to look at...which is too bad...I always have high hopes for street style. If Lisa is your personal image and style coach, run don't walk. It would be like working out with a fat personal trainer.

Ummmmmm, what is wrong if they did shop at H n M? It's cheap fashion. Welcome to reality.

Is it not fashionable unless they went to Holt Renfrew and bought over priced designer shit that they could have gotten for half the price in the USA?

Get a clue Toronto! Most people in this city dress way more boring than these girls.

Thank you for being a bit more multi-racial this post!

Nathalie- meow! you like great, and I can tell it's your own personal style. Great job!

Nikki- your make up and hair and necklace and neckline (of shirt) all work together so well. Your face looks fresh and glowy and natural, your hair is working without looking too fussed over.... honey, WORK.

Anita- love the dress, the shoes, the toe nail polish. It suits you. Great style, it also seems really "you" as opposed to just being trendy.

Aly- you look relaxed, fashionable, comfortable. I love your style. Hair pulled back suits you and looks care-free and easy.

Great job ladies!! :)

I'm not going to make any negative comments because I feel that, myself included, if a negative comment had to be accompanied by a picture of a person's own style, the negative comments would be both fewer in number and hypocritical in many cases.

You are all so pathetic for trash talking them. These women for the most part are chic and stylish. I don't know what you expect from these street style things - a bunch of Kensington Market dwelling burnouts or gross losers decked out in nasty stuff they found at Black Market? There are different streets and different styles. These women are not interested in dressing like the average dumpy Torontonian and thank God for that. Oh and btw, blogging may not be investment banking but you can make a career out of it these days. It is the publication world of the future. If you weren't living with your head buried under a rock you would know that.

My personal faves are Nathalie, Anita and Aly.
