Some of the most brillant and cultured Artists working, cutting, preserving.
I trust my hair with Aki because she is so worth it. Even as a poor student, the quality and longevity of her cuts far outweigh the cost. I've sent multiple now-ex-boyfriends to her; not only has she shaped up every one, but they continue to see her when they will no longer see me. The stronger relationship is evident!
Aki and the entire staff at World are just awesome. Their education and resumes and commitment to personal and environmental care should make them far more haughty than any of them actually are. World Salon has every reason to be pretentious, and yet they aren't. And it is such a treat, every time, to come in looking like shit, sit down with some tea, watch Aki and the crew work their magic with joy, in community with both each other and their clients, and leave feeling brilliant, and like an integral part of it all.
I am so grateful that Aki is part of my World.
World Salon has a wonderful atmosphere and is beautifully designed, edgy yet unpretentious. We are offered tea the moment we come in the door so we feel like guests.
And by the way, the shampoo they sell is incredible.
and is it pricy?
I'm looking for a permanent stylist to cut my hair, someone that i can trust and therefore keep going back to, I've been bouncing around town looking for someone who does great cuts for straight hair, and unfortunately have not found the right person. I've loved the comments from this salon and I look forward in going!
With my hair type I find that mistakes are so prominent since it's so straight and I don't want to always be in that awkward waiting for the cut to grow out phase. Any suggestions as to who I should see??
Please get out and vote on October 25 - especially if you are between 18-30 years old... we really need your input. You can follow things that are going on more closely at www.twitter.com/brianj_phillips. Thank you BlogTo and if you are looking for a salon that washes your hair with the sun, come visit world.
Thanks for your interest in worldSALON. We are all good with straight hair, but Yuka is Japanese, and especially good. She charges 85.00. If you are a student, we are flexible with prices, so leave an email at info@world.ca.

At the risk of making it more difficult to get an appointment with Lukas, I feel I owe it to him to spread the good word. And that word is – perfect. If you're a man who appreciates the difference between tailored and off-the-rack, make your next hair appointment with Lukas.
I am sensitive to harsh scents and most salons give me a migraine. The environmentally-conscious products that World uses smell natural and fresh.
The atmosphere is friendly, peaceful and professional. I really enjoyed having my hair cut by Johanna. The results are fantastic. Thank you!
"Just a quick compliment to pass on to Gary… (x2)
When I got home after the cut last night, my girlfriend mentioned that my hair looked the best that it ever had since she had met me (4 years).
Then… walked into the office today and got a “nice haircut” from one of the girls at work!
Thanks again-
PS. Let’s not use this as a basis to raise prices..
Cheers,
Jeff"
I had my first cut with Yuka on Saturday April 30th and wanted to you let you and her know that it is my favourite cut ever. Thank you, Yuka!
Also, I have found that the environment in a lot of salons to be tense, stressful, and unfriendly but I really enjoyed the atmosphere in your salon. It was really quite a pleasant experience being there.
I’ve already told anyone who’ll listen about the experience I had. It has taken me about a year and a half to find a salon so I’m quite pleased I’ve found you.
Thanks again and see you soon!
It's great to read all the wonderful comments here. I have a Groupon that I bought for the salon as I am intrigued due to their eco friendly nature. Needless to say like many here I have jumped around to a few different stylists - still haven't found anyone I really connect with - or a salon I'm happy with and will give me a great cut for my wavy/curly hair!
Looking forward to checking you out.
I've been looking for a great hair salon for ages.
