I love this store. They have tons of clothes/jewellery/purses/shoes from local designers and also ecological designers. At the end of each season, they tend to have large sales on their already affordable merch.

I went to this store and the staff were incredibly phony and rude. Also, the merchandise is far overpriced.

Oh yeah, and the manager Vanessa or whatever her name was, she was totally obnoxious and talked down to me like I was a moron while I shopped.

The above comments do not reflect the current staff and products. Handmade, artisan and quality provide more value for the price and something different from the mall and big box stores.

I went to Trove to check out their Campers selection. I'm normally a 42 but all they had were 41s. So I tried on one that seemed to fit. The saleswoman encouraged my to buy it because 'if I didn't like it I could return it within 7 days.' Unfortunately she didn't mention that they only give inhouse credit (and only good for 6 months!) - they don't actually refund your money. Nowhere in the store is there a sign saying this. Apparently it IS in small print at the bottom of the bill.

Anyway - I wore the shoes in the house and realized they just were too small. I try to return them and Emily the manager at the Bathurst location basically tells me I'm an idiot for buying shoes that don't fit, and she's sorry I didn't 'hear' that they only do exchanges.

I tell her there's no shoe is her store that fits me and she tells me I should use my $180 credit to buy a bag or scarf!!!!

She also won't contact the owners for me or let me use the shop phone to call the owners because 'we're busy'. Terrible service! Terrible policy. IS this even legal?

I have a call into the owners who apparently work out of the Bloor street store. I got one sympathetic person on the line, haven't heard back for 2 days and left another message with a woman who says there's no record of my first message!

Is this store really so desperate they need to force people to make exchanges? And even if they are don't they have the ability to use discretion in cases where their current stock is not going to satisfy the customer?

I heard good things about this store, have to check it out!
Well, as for the exchange, well, if they dont have the shoe in your size dont buy it(?) and exchange only is extremely commun...
