Fuss is an amazing salon, where the stylist listen to what you want, and you leave feeling and looking like a million bucks!

There's lots to Fuss about at Fuss Hair Studio in Leslieville. This was my first visit to Fuss and I can tell you now we are going to become Besties!!! I went to Fuss because I am new to the neighbourhood and like to keep it local. I also looked them up on the web to see what others thought. it appears they are loved out there in the world of blogs and reviews and I can see why. Rated in the top 15 salons in Toronto I soon found out it wasnt just for their good looks. The salon is smashingly decorated, friendly faces all round. Great music overall amazing atmosphere... Oh and did I mention the hair. I saw Kristin, one of the owners. I don't know what to say except the girl can cut!!! Best haircut I ever received. To top it off she's fun to chat with and has a great sense of humor. Overall best salon experience I've had in the city, ever.

Just moved to TO and needed a new salon, it was my first visit and unfortunately got passed to an obvious junior stylist. Color was fine, asked for long layers to add body to long hair and got a tiny layer put in. Wanted my fringe put back in, not good at all. Asked her to stop cutting and ended the session there, went home and tried to fix it myself. I think it would be a good idea to have a new, mature client(37 years old) sit with a mature, experienced stylist. My search for my new salon continues

Hello,

I work from my home in UNITED STATE and am a

web designer by trade. I was wondering if you might like to have a low cost "mobile"

site made for your business? I don't require any money up front and I can have the basic

site ready for you to inspect in less than 24 hours.

You may be wondering why you would even need a mobile site. The simple answer is

that mobile internet browsing is expected to actually surpass regular PC internet

browsing . It hasn't happened yet but it is getting real close. Google even has a new

search engine exclusively for mobile users and if you don't have a mobile site then you

are not being found by your potential customers.

Besides, have you seen what your regular website looks like to a mobile user? Check it

out at http://www.testiphone.com

I can set up a high quality mobile website for you and even optimize it for the mobile

search engines. This will enable you to start capturing your share of the mobile traffic

that is looking for a hair saloon in toronto with their cell phones. I pride myself on doing

quality work for a very reasonable price. In fact I can get everything set up for you for

just $200.

here are some screenshots if you are on your PC or laptop:

www.samplemobilesite.info

If you want to learn more just email me and I can get you set up for no

money down. I will even find you a good domain to use and do all the keyword research

to make sure it is properly optimized for the mobile search engines. Then, if you decide

you want to keep it, it will only be $200, and just $14 a month hosting.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I have been going to Fuss for a few years and see The owner Kristin. I am writing this review because I find far too often we love to get online and complain about everything and anything we can. From the first day I went to Fuss and met Kristin, until today I have had nothing but the best experience. I have recommended probably anywhere from 5 - 20 people to see Kristin over the past two years!! They all see Kristin (or have gone to the other stylists there because Kristin is so busy) an they all still go there. They work really hard at Fuss to give the client what they need , which is hair the client can take home and manage themselves. They're amazing!!

Fuss = Good.

Service and Atmosphere make a salon and this place excels in both.

Many more years of success!

I went to fuss before leaving for university in hopes of just cleaning up my dead ends. I learned the hard way that you have to be 100% upfront and detailed about what you want otherwise you will end up looking like I do now. I now have a disgusting mop/mullet on top of my head. Maybe my hair dresser was going for an edgy look but all i wanted was to keep my length but get rid of my dead ends. Anyways, its awful and haven't worn my hair down in 4 months. Going to Vidal Sassoon this week in hopes of someone with actual talent that will cure my hideous haircut.

The worst haircut of my life hands down. I went to Fuss because of all the nice rewviews I had read. And it's a beautiful place, but the stylist named Dana has no clue what she's doing and chemically burned my scalp in 6 places, cut one side of my hair two and half inches higher than the other, and couldn't even straighten my hair properly. I went home embarrassed and spent the next hour trying to fix my mess she had left and figure out what to do with the holes in my scalp. I will NEVER return to that place and I would suggest not ever going there, I wish someone would have given me the same advice.

Finding a hair salon and stylist to fit your needs is never an easy task! However the most important part of the relationship between stylist and client is communication. The hair and scalp of a person is just as unique as the person it is on everyone reacts differently to colors and has different levels of sensitivity, because of this we need to know if any irritation occurs. After using multiple bleaching kits at home the scalp can be left in a more fragile state which is why when asked and warned that lightener directly on the scalp does cause slight discomfort and usually itching if at any time you feel an abnormal reaction you need to let your stylist or another employee know immediately so that it can be washed off an alternate actions taken to provide you with the desired result without compromising your scalp. This notification did not occur during this visit and I was reassured many times that you were fine and on a scale of 1-10 your comfort was as quoted a 5. Jokes were even made that you had a bionic scalp due to your ease throughout the service. Personally having had a chemically burn I know the horrible pain it can cause and the discomfort is immediate! Also coinciding with that ongoing search for a stylist many are tempted to take matters into their own hands! Never is it advised to cut your own hair (however we’ve all had those bathroom mirror moments). When cutting hair we follow guides to ensure an even haircut however when hair previously cut and only to one side it is almost impossible to ensure that both sides will come out perfectly even for they have travelled very different routes. I would like to welcome you back to the salon for a calming treatment enriched with rosehip essential oils to help calm any irritation to you scalp and a complimentary blowdry where you can be sure your hair leaves to your standard of perfectly straight and at that time if you would like me or one of my coworkers to go through your cut and make any adjustments we would be happy to do so as well.

I am inclined with the more detailed reviews of disatisfied customers than the brief glowing (dubious origin) reviews posted here.
I went to Fuss after losing a previous stylist to overseas travel. On a positive note this salon looks the goods with great decor with warm and friendly staff. However, thats where the good ends. I too ended up with a terrible cut that I had every intention of going back and getting rectified. Unfortunately as a busy professional with a young family I never found the time to go back and the reality is why should I?

Fuss for future clients please attempt to ensure you get it right the first time. Customers come to a salon to relax and I feel if I was to return I would have to scruntinize every snip...not relaxing.

So the search begns again, any recommendations would be greatly apprecitated.

It simply amazes me that everyone who has a bad issue can spout off online but do not have the integrity to say something before they have left the shop. Does this shop not have any MIRRORS? can you not see yourself? are you not asked if all is well? so if it is not good you should be saying something before you leave the shop not go home and hide behind a PC. People GROWUP speak your mind I know the people in this shop and I know that if you are NOT satisfied it will be made right or you would not be allowed to leave & not be satisfied. I have had the experience to visit this shop and it is the BEST I have ever visited. Totally Satisfied & will return again & again & again. Great work Kristin.

I saw Kristen at Fuss for the first time on the weekend and it was truly a great experience, which was saying a lot since I hate going to the hair dresser. The atmosphere was light and friendly without any phoney hipster coolness or cloying over-intimacy. I especially appreciated that when I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, Kristen gave me her professional opinion. The price was very reasonable and my hair looks absolutely gorgeous!

Wow. This was the worst hair salon I have ever been to. The cut was unremarkable, but the staff were incredibly unprofessional and seem to think they are cooler than they appear.. Not friendly, engaging in gossip about clients, other hair salons/stylists, and lots of giggling and eye rolling.
When one of staff member accidentally sprayed some water on the ceiling, wetting another customer who wasn't amused, there was no apology, just lots of laughing, even by the owner.
My appointment was about a year ago, so perhaps it is a better place. . . . Still, wouldn't recommend it.

I'm pretty picky about my hair so I waited two weeks to see if it would settle ... no such luck ... One side two inches shorter than the other. One side textured to within an nth of its thickness, the other side left untextured and straight. One two inch wide piece at the back of my head is longer (of course on the side that's shorter)... honestly, edward sizzorhands could have done a better job. Requested a refund as I will absolutely not go back to the same hairstylist to have this hack job fixed. Refund denied so I'm forced to pay yet another $100 to get this layered properly and will obviously have to cut off two inches of my hair to match the side that was cut/texturized/thinned out shorter, which I wasn't planning on doing.

I agree with the comments made by "No One Important". If you are not happy with your haircut, you should say something immediately and let the owners try to rectify the situation versus complaining online. I feel personally offended at the vehemence of some comments and felt compelled to share my many experiences with Fuss. Its almost like someone egged my house and told me my dog stinks.

I have been going to Fuss since the first month they opened their doors. That's 5 years that I have been a client of Kristen. So, let's pause and do the math for a minute: 5 years x approx. 6 hairstyles/year = around 30 hairstyles from Kristen and 30 visits to the salon. That's a lot of experience I have with the salon and the people there. Only once did I need a revisit to fix something I didn't like, and Kristen made sure to accommodate me within the same week, even though I couldn't come in during the day (I think she stayed past closing to fix me up). And in those past 5 years, I cannot think of a single time where I felt like the ladies at Fuss didn't care about me and want me to enjoy my experience there. They always take an interest in the finished result (maybe it helps that I'm hair-adventurous) and want me to walk out looking and feeling fantastic.

I went in 3-4 weeks ago as a red-head with ombre, and I walked out a beautiful golden blonde. Not many places can pull off that sort of transformation without destroying your hair. And to top it off, I got some lovely snuggles from one of Kristen's dogs. Makes it a wonderful day when I go to Fuss!

Selfishly, I'd be happy to keep it my little secret (it would be much easier to get an appointment that way), but I am really happy to see the salon grow and flourish in this amazing neighbourhood. Kristen & Stacey - don't let a couple of negative reviews get you down, for each one of those you have at least a dozen loyal clients who keep coming back for a reason. And when my friends tell me my hair looks fantastic, I tell them what all the Fuss is about.

I started going to Fuss about 4 years ago for my cuts. Not only is the vibe great (beautiful decor and stellar music) but you the staff are incredibly personable yet professional. I've recommended the salon to many friends, co-workers and members of my family and they have all converted to Fuss followers.

When my stylist left, they paired me with Dana and I have been a loyal Dana client for 3 years. She gets exactly what I'm looking for every time and I always leave with a smile on my face because not only do I have a fantastic new haircut but conversation is effortless and her charming personality is contagious.

I highly recommend you try out Fuss.

I agree, worst haircut ever!! So uneven and thinned out in one area so ridiculously, I was embarrassed to go back to my regular stylist... She thought that I had burnt my hair with a straightener. Went only once and would never, go back. And sincerely, once the damage is done, it's done. Can't really fix it once it's gone.

I was looking for a new place to get my hair done in the east end and was highly recommended Fuss. I am so glad I was because Stacey took the time to talk about the right color for my skin tone and a hairstyle that I did't have to "fuss" over. Months later and the cut is still great and can't wait to go back and enjoy the experience again.

I've been going to Fuss Hair since they opened, I'm not fussy about the stylist so pretty much had all of them. Great service, great atmosphere and not once have I been disappointed. Love the decor of the salon and the easy-going personality of the stylists. Great addition to Leslieville!!
