Owner Farhad Gharemani insists that he never carries two of any frame, and strives to stock the most unique items from lines like Alain Mikli and Jean Paul Gaultier

I visited almost 20 Optical Shops in the city and Farhad went above and beyond to find me what i wanted. I would definitely recommend paying him a visit.

Expensive, but worth it for price and quality. Besides, you should ask for a discount. You don't expect to actually pay the ticket price at a store like this do you? The markup must be huge and there's surely room for a discount without eating into their profits too much.

If I see something while traveling that I must have I am so loyal to him I will jot down the designer and code number of that pair and have Farhad order it for me when I get back to Toronto. And he delivers at a cheaper price!
Don't know how he does it but Farhad keeps up with new and unique designers that no one else has but often high profile celebrities are wearing. Have you seen the Thierry Lasry collection? One of my favourites!

Church Street has the highest rent in the City...higher than the Eaton Centre. That is why most business on Church Street lasts less than a year. There is a reason why Eyes on Church has survived so long and it has nothing to do with being overpriced. It is all to do with great friendly service and selection and people who are our neighbours who know our names and appreciate our business.
I have no affiliation with Eyes On Church Street, I am just a loyal customer and someone who believes in supporting my neighbourhood to keep it great. I am sensitive to people who prefer to shop outside their neighbourhood and especially their country because I am in the book business and all the neighbourhood bookstores are just about gone because of this very reason which affects me personally. This is just my opinion. My own family went to the US this weekend for black Friday shopping so we just agree to disagree and do what makes us feel good :-)
So in all, I paid $65 for the eye exam and did not get the complete exam. It would have cost $115 to get what I came in for.
Avoid at all costs.
Farhad Ghahremani, the proprietor, was in Paris, but the selection of frames was dazzling. I needed a new pair of prescription eyeglasses and there was a sale. Why not? A little over a week later, I received a call. Today, I picked them up, but it was more than that. Farhad was so much fun. We hit it off. What style and taste. I've never seen so many exquisite one-of-kind frames. My new glasses are stunning. My husband agrees.
Best of all, though, was simply "being there." I will drop in whenever I'm in the neighbourhood. I felt spectacular leaving the store. And it's such a joy to "see" and be "seen" in my new specs!

Wow! This place has the best selection of designer eyewear! I have been getting my glasses here for about three years now and no longer do I bother even checking other places. They carry hand made Alain Mikli's from France, Prada, D and G,Tom Fords...just to name a few. They always have the latest trends in eyewear and offer alot of help and advice when choosing a pair. Farhad is extremely helpful and offers great advice on the right fit and shape for each customers face.
I had bough a pair of glasses that took about a week longer to craft then I was told, so the owner offered me a free pair of hand-crafted sunglass clip-ons. Now that is customer service!

Oscar you directed me to the Salt frames, which I tried on and fell in love with. I appreciated your product knowledge and that you let me just wander around, getting a feel for the Salt frames on my face. When I returned with my partner, we had visited
many optical shops that day: at one of your competitors we were ignored and at another, it was obvious that the product knowledge was lacking. Finally, when I came to pick up my new glasses, I appreciated that you both worked to allay my fears about progressives and that you even took me outside to get a feel for the new look!

Three very knowledgeable gentlemen spent over an hour picking out what sunglasses they thought would best suit me with only encouragement to take my time to make any decision. The services was exceptional. Their selections on the highest quality products were eclectic. I will never shop at another sun glass shop again. Check them out.
