I commuted from the GTA to get to Barbarella and unfortunately when I got there, I was told that no such change was made for me. It seems that my original appointment was cancelled but the change for the new one was not made. I essentially wasted time and gas to get downtown and was sorely disappointed with the poor service. They didn't offer any compensation for the inconvience caused, which is unprofessional considering that Barbarella charges "50% of the service for the appointment that was missed" (www.barbarella.ca)if an appointment is cancelled without 24 hours notice.
I was expecting to relax after a stressful week and not only did I get inconvienced and annoyed from this experience, I've still yet to get my haircut! =(

I gave Karleena the seemingly impossible task of cutting my hair. I had been growing it out for about 6 years, it was roughly 23 inches long. Everyone told me I'd be crazy to cut it, but after six years of taking care of that mane, it was time to let go.
Karleena made me feel SO comfortable. She listened to exactly what I wanted (which was some jumble about an "out grown bedhead bob" that was "beachy" yet "elegant" and "feminine").
She was extremely thorough (considered my hair type, what my morning routine was etc) and worked some kind of magic because she gave me exactly what I went for.

I booked with someone else in the salon and I'm confident they'll be just as great!
