Amazing Party Store

Posted by Brett Taggart / Posted on October 16, 2012

Amazing Party StoreThe Amazing Party Store is a Halloween Mecca found in Etobicoke just south of the QEW. The shop resides in small industrial park. The first thing that first-times might find odd is that a private industrial lot around the corner from the shop offers Amazing Party Store parking for $5 and a back way entrance to the shop.

Amazing Party StoreThose bypassing this deal and venturing closer to the shop will likely be greeted by traffic mayhem. On a recent visit I found parked cars lining the seemingly quiet industrial street, and another 10 cars were maneuvering the narrow road trying to find parking. The shop had even hired three guys to try and direct traffic. As this was a Sunday morning 2 weeks before Halloween I was somewhat surprised with the volume of people hunting down costumes.

Amazing Party StoreThe entrance way to the Amazing Party Store features a selection of their Halloween lawn decorations. They offer a wide range of tombstones, headless goblins, skeletons, caskets, and other spooky decorations. Upon entering the store, one realizes just how massive it is. They offer 12,000 square feet of wall-to-wall Halloween costumes and decorations.

Amazing Party StoreI have never seen so many costumes in one place. The Amazing Party Store advertises 2000 different costumes for adults, children and even pets. They honestly seem to carry everything from Jesus in the Big Lebowski, Lady Gaga circa the 2009 MTV VMAs, Ali G, and at least 4 different versions of Tom Cruise from Top Gun.

Amazing Party StoreBut the piece de resistance here has to be their Star Wars repertoire. They carry some pretty sweet looking Storm Troopers, Boba Fet, and even an inflatable Jabba the Hut. The Amazing Party Store also carries a wide selection of slightly offside costumes (blunt monster, pregnant nun), and sexually suggestive costumes (think sassy Elmo, wet t-shirt contest winner, inflatable doll costume).

Amazing Party StoreRegardless of what look you're going for, the Amazing Party Shop probably has you covered. Costumes range in price anywhere from $45 - $110, depending on amount of material and accessories.

Amazing Party StoreThe Amazing Party Store also has a great selection of make-up, face paint, colour eye contacts, latex facial lacerations, wigs, and other necessary accessories to complete your spooky look.

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to get to the amazing party store by subway/bus?

Take the 110 Islington South bus to Evans Avenue. Walk west along Evans until you hit Oxford street. Walk up north till you see the store

While the selection is awesome, the pricing isn't. Many of their products are being sold at 3x the price you'll find at other stores. For example, body parts were being sold for $15 when Party Packagers offered the same ones for $5.

just take the 110 Islington from Islington station to Evans Rd, get off and just walk a block west to Eastwick Rd.

I agree, their prices are very expensive!! Not only that, they charged me more for an item than the sticker price...unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got home.
I decided to return the item and went back to the store and the manager/owner totally freaked out on me!!! I've never been treated so poorly in all my life!! Buyers beware!!

This store has a large selection but you are unable to open anything to see what you are getting. The owner/staff are not very helpful as well. I would suggest you try somewhere else first.

This store overcharged me on several items. When I went back to complain the owner Sean Hamilton told me to get out of the store after I showed him the item on the shelf was differnt form the price on the receipt. He started yelling and told me to leave in front of a store full of little children.

O
Don't be deceived by the owners initial willingness to help you. He's simply seeing $$. I bought a costume for my 5 year old nephew along with a few accessories. I had a very hectic day so didn't check to make sure all pieces were in the bag. Of course, on my way to the party I notice they aren't! I thought this would mean a simple exchange. The owner told me he doesn't know what I did with the costume after I left and that I had full opportunity to try it on! Right.... A 30 year old in a small child costume. In addition to extremely poor service by the owner, its very expense and the batteries for the safety light expired almost 2 years ago. CHeCk EVERYThING before you leave if you have to resort to shopping here.

I'm sure most of you can tell, but for the ones who miss it, this Blog.to website does not belong to the store and is not frequently monitored by the store staff. If you wish to send an enquiry, you can use the form on our own website (amazingpartystore.com), which is actively checked and responded to.
The website will also give you a good idea of the stock we carry.

Maybe one particular of the most employed seats within your household will be the kitchen bar stool. When 1 thinks of this item, they may possibly envision a kid sitting on it carrying out homework even though mom or dad prepare dinner.

they got an ok selection but the prices are off the roof. bunch of armatures running the place but they do have some staff that go out of their way to help you, credit to them and that's because they enjoy their job, but the management sucks the owners suck and prices suck. I would rather spent the money for gas and go to three different stores to find what I am looking for then to go directly to these CLOWNS and pay three times the price of other places.

Their costumes aren't three times the price of other places - they're at worst average compared to elsewhere no worse no better, especially compared to the many pop-up costume stores that appear here and there around the city this time of year. The thing that really makes this place is the breadth of selection. Nowhere else in the city can you find so many different options.

this store is the worst -- poor service/ expensive prices/
and the owner is a real gem - i have been a couple times only to see and hear the owner loose it on clients or staff. Some of the staff are quite helpful but most couldn't give a crap -- i guess that would be the reflection of management.

My boyfriend and I got our costumes here a few days ago. I probably won't buy a full costume here again simply because I have normally pieced my costumes together on my own and made much nicer looking and better quality costumes for less money. I will keep it in mind for the extra costume pieces and accessories I may need to complete a costume because the selection is great. I do think you are overpaying for what you're getting, but if you're not crafty, nor do you have the time to put your costumes together and you have a bit of extra disposable income, this is a pretty good option. At the very least, the costume and accessory selection is so great, it'll give you some great ideas. I found the staff I dealt with generally mediocre, with the exception of the guy working the mask counter. He seemed to really love what he was doing. It's understadable though that 2 weeks before Halloween on a Saturday afternoon that they might be a little stressed. I however did not meet or deal with the owner so I can't confirm or deny the comments above about him. Overall, great store to get into the spirit of Halloween, though a little pricier than I'd prefer to pay.

Another issue is that video gaming has become one of the all-time most significant forms of recreation for people spanning various ages. Kids engage in video games, and also adults do, too. Your XBox 360 is amongst the favorite video games systems for those who love to have hundreds of video games available to them, in addition to who like to relax and play live with other people all over the world. Thank you for sharing your notions.

This place sold me up the river! SCAM! There was no intent to meet delivery times stipulated on their website. No resolution, product comes late and incorrect from original purchase. Products online are not what is carried and if you don't like what you get you'll be charged a restocking fee! There are better places online to shop!
