TCDS Presents: Stephen Sondheim's "The Frogs"

The Time is now. The Setting is Ancient Greece. In the midst of the Peloponnesian Wars, Greek society is governed by fear and violence. Dionysos, God of Wine and Drama, believes that a great playwright can inspire his people and save Greece from imminent collapse. So, he sets off to the Underworld to bring George Bernard Shaw back from the dead...

The Frogs presents a clever amalgamation of the Greek Epic and comedic satire. It playfully explores the great challenges of human existence: confronting our fears, understanding life and death, and challenging the distractions can prevent us from achieving our goals. Pride, apathy, lust, and greed are personified as Dionysos challenges his oppositions, and fights to bring new inspiration to the Greek people.

Join us in the George Ignatieff Theatre from January 22nd to 26th, to experience the Trinity College Dramatic Society's production of this witty and inspiring show.
