The Crooked Brothers are a three-piece roots group with a sound that has a touch of Tom Waits, a dash of back porch blues and a whole lot of stomping scrap yard funk! They have gained the attention of many folk festival and roots music fans both live and on their carefully crafted albums. As with Deathbed Pillowtalk (2009), their sophomore release Lawrence, Where's Your Knife? (2011) was self-produced and recorded in a small cabin over a cold Manitoban winter.

Also on the bill is Toronto's latest craze, Graham Nicholas and The Humber Valley River Band:

As a finalist for the CHRW album of the year award and with a nomination for Best Country Album of The Year at the Jack Richardson Music awards, Graham Nicholas will be a welcome guest to this line-up. With his energetic stage presence and his John Prine style that straddles both classic country and traditional folk, Graham Nicholas is one raucous folk act that you won’t want to miss.
