Free Public Forum on Digital Music

November 24, 2008

Technology is forcing the industry to change.

Free file sharing is becoming a cultural norm for a growing swath of music fans. Others are gravitating to on-line stores and artists' websites to buy their music while sales CDs are declining.

This coming MONDAY, NOVEMBER 24 at 7:30 pm, the St. Lawrence Centre Forum will host a public discussion with representatives of the Canadian recording industry on the topic of THE CHANGING FACE OF MUSIC IN A DIGITAL WORLD.

Hear from artists and industry execs as they debate free music sharing, anti-piracy measures, internet marketing, impending copyright legislation and future trends.

The gathering will take place at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts (27 Front Street East, Toronto, ON). Admission is free.

More information regarding panelists and the StLC Forum can be found at http://forum.stlc.com/forum.php .

Sincerely,
Andrew Martin-Smith,
