Ryerson Entrepreneurs Compete for $25,000 to Launch Their Business
On March 26, StartMeUp Ryerson is presenting the Slaight Communications $25,000 Business Plan Competition.
Slaight Communications is sponsoring StartMeUp Ryerson’s biggest event, which showcases five entrepreneurs that pitch their business to an expert panel of judges. These judges will decide which company walks home with this year’s top prize - $25,000 This cash grant will help these Ryerson entrepreneurs turn their idea into reality.
Open to the general public. Come by to enjoy free refreshments, network and watch all five finalists pitch to the expert panel. The expert panel includes:
• Shayan Mashatian is a serial entrepreneur and an expert in the use of technology for social change.
• Randy Pilon founded Virox Technologies Inc a venture that has proven successful appearing three times in Profit Magazine’s “Companies to Watch” rankings.
• Rick Spence President, CanEntrepreneur Communications Rick is a Toronto-based business writer and consultant dedicated to helping businesses grow.
With a generous donation from Mr. Allan Slaight, Ryerson students can launch their businesses with this much needed seed capital.
