Toonto Book Awards Shortlist Announcement
Mayor David Miller will join Jane Pyper, the Toronto Public Library’s new Chief Librarian, to announce the shortlist for the 2008 Toronto Book Awards. The City of Toronto, in partnership with the Toronto Public Library, is challenging Torontonians to “get a new read on Toronto” with many new opportunities for the community to embrace and explore this year’s shortlisted books. The announcement is open to the public and is a free event.

Times: 9:30 a.m. reception in the Atrium
10 a.m. welcome remarks by Jane Pyper, Chief Librarian, Toronto Public Library
and announcement of shortlist by Mayor David Miller
