Mr. Something Something live in Toronto July 25

HELP US MAKE HISTORY

We couldn't do what we love without you and if our live shows are electric it's thanks to your energy. On September 20, we'll be giving you an opportunity to channel some of that energy in an unusual way by literally powering our show as we organize Canada's first bike powered dance party at the beautiful Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto's Don Valley (For more info on The Brick Works and Evergreen go to www.evergreen.ca/rethinkspace ).

For the September 20 show we're building green "generating stations" that you can hook your bike to. Then all you have to do is pedal away to make sure the music doesn't stop. This environmentally and kid-friendly, pedal powered party happens in conjunction with a Sustainability Fair at The Brick Works and since it's a Saturday the weekly Farmer's Market will be loaded with local goodies. In other words, it's going to be a lot of fun, but we do need help as it's a big production that will require a lot of work.

Aside from the mechanical parts like stationary bike stands we need to purchase a 2 Kilowatt inverter which costs about $2000. And so on. Therefore we are organizing a fundraiser at the Lula Lounge on Friday July 25. We will be playing and the wonderfully clever, funny and outspoken songwriter/spoken word & theatre artist Evalyn Parry will be opening for us. There will also be cool bicycles on display, a bunch of great door prizes, and information about grassroots cycling initiatives happening in the city. So come on out on the 25th and help us raise some funds. Together we'll make history.

Location Lula Lounge (1585 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Ontario)
