$100 cd release with special guest Rick White

July 25, 2008

$100 is a Toronto based group started by Ian Russell [Jon Rae and The River] and Simone Schmidt. When Ian was struck with Leukemia $100 started writing heart breakingly sad songs about death and taxes, most easily described as country music.
They recorded their self released E.P. “Hold It Together” with a lap steel player and began to get acclaim for their stunning live shows.
Joined by Jonathan Adjemian (Organ) and Dave Clarke (Drums) $100 recorded an entire album over the course of 13 hours at the Elder Schoolhouse with Rick White (Eric's Trip, Elevator) and Brian Taylor. "Forest of Tears" has the honor of being released on Blue Fog Recordings, in just a few months.
This show will serve as the release party for Their first full length and they will be joined by Rick White and many other special guests including members of The Constantines, Anagram and more.

Tickets $8 door only. Doors at 9pm
