Fresh off the release of Elizabeth Shepherd's new album, Parkdale, out Tuesday, May 6th, the Toronto native will be dazzling the audience with their first listen of new material at the launch party set for May 9th at the Gladstone Hotel. Featured with the Elizabeth Shepherd quintet are Scott Kemp on bass, Colin Kingsmore on drums, Roman Tome on percussion and William Sperandei on trumpet. Produced by applauded British Indie-Jazz Ben Lamdin of Nostalgia 77, Parkdale is an older, wiser Shepherd teamed with her ever youthful, graceful soul. Parkdale is Shepherd’s follow-up to acclaimed debut, Start to Move.
Also, on August 20, 2008 Elizabeth Shepherd will be taking the stage alongside Brit jazz/pop sensation Jamie Cullum at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. The evening was curated by Cullum, who invited Shepherd to perform at the Bowl to showcase her incredible talent. The Jazz at the Bowl is a prestigious series featuring jazz greats such as; George Benson, Etta James and Jamie Cullum with the Count Basie Orchestra. This is an exciting venture for Elizabeth Shepherd to be performing at this historical venue.

PARC is a community centre offering support to psychiatric survivors and people who are socially isolated. Activities and services include: small group activities, laundry facilities, occasional outings, free hot meals and free groceries for members.
