Blue Mountains Chili Ribfest

The first annual Blue Mountains Chili Ribfest, hosted at Cedar Run Horse Park, near Thornbury ON, from July 8-10, includes fun (and food) for the entire family! The weekend will be jam-packed with amusement rides, games, an arts and crafts marketplace, live music all weekend long, as well as rib and chili tastings.

This year’s Festival will feature Ontario’s first-ever internationally sanctioned barbeque competition with rules and regulations established by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS), the world’s largest organization of barbeque and grilling enthusiasts. Also taking place will be the region’s first-ever Whole Hog BBQ Championship, in association with the Canadian Southern BBQ Association (CSBBQ). On Saturday, the 27th Annual Tolbert Sanctioned T-C Rotary Chili Cookoff will be held based on the original Terlingua International Frank X. Tolbert-Wick Fowler Memorial Championship Chili Cookoff in Texas. More than $8,000 in prize money will be up for grabs for the competitors.

Cedar Run Horse Park will also play host to its first-ever Equine Canada Gold-sanctioned Hunter Jumper Showcase. Spectators will get a taste of show jumping as competitors vie for over $65,000 in prize money.

Admission is FREE to the inaugural Blue Mountains Chili Ribfest, which is sure to be a sizzling summer weekend for the whole family!

The event will run from 11am - 1am Friday and Saturday and 11am - 6pm Sunday.
