Unique Lives and Experiences: Buffy Sainte-Marie

Unique Lives & Experiences presents

Come hear Saskatchewan born Buffy Sainte-Marie reflect on her more than 4 decades as a song writer, singer, artist and educator. In the early sixties, she was Billboard's hottest new artist with her hit song "Until it's time for you to to go". Her songs were sung by Elvis, Janis Joplin, Barbara Streisand and Neil Diamond. An educator before she was known as a singer, Buffy lectures today on topics ranging from film scoring, electronic music, Native American studies, the Cradleboard Teaching Project, women's issues, and the native genius for government. As an early Macintosh pioneer in digital art, her works were among the first to be seen in galleries across Canada. Don't miss an evening with this remarkable Native Canadian and international activist Pop Star.
