This is an insane Tuesday. Normally I don't do Tuesdays. But seriously how was I going to pass up this show?

The night starts with the Cheap Speakers! The Cheap Speakers share my affection for Brent Randall and so this is about the third time I've tried to make this pairing happen. If you don't know yet the Speakers have been holed up in the studio in October. The intensity of the whole situation has Brennan growing a playoff beard of sorts. Nothing like a month of intense recording to have a band sounding its tightest. Lately the Speakers have been going more indie-rock and less indie-pop. What will this show bring? Who knows?

Then its one of my favourite bands to see live in Brent Randall and his Pinecones. When I saw Brent play with Foxfire and B.A. Johnston at the Tiger Bar I knew this was going to be a band I loved. Now its even better cause they are in Toronto! Brent Randall and his band play something that's not quite indie-folk, indie-rock or indie-pop. But its enough of all of those genres and unique and thus appeals to almost anyone with a pulse and good taste in music.

And closing it out we have Newfoundland's Mark Bragg & the Butchers. This will be my first time seeing Mark Bragg. But tons of people are telling me how wicked he and his band are. Here is a snippet from Mark's sonicbids:
