Launch of the West End Food Co-op's Bond Campaign

I'm excited to be able to invite you to the launch of the West End Food Co-op's bond campaign on Nov 2 from 7-9pm at the Gladstone!

We'll have good music, local food, old and new friends and lots of news and information about Ontario's newest food co-operatve. WEFC is one of the only multi-stakeholder co-ops in Ontario, and one of the few non-profit co-ops. We are planning to open a store by 2011 in the heart of Toronto's west end, offering food as local as possible, community food programming and a place to change the food system in our own backyards. We welcome members from all of our stakeholder groups: producers, workers, eaters and our community partners.

We have big plans-- a warm space, great food as local as possible, community cooking, processing and working. Come join us to hear more about how we are making this exciting vision become reality! We'll report on our projects to date (the Sorauren Park Farmer's Market and the Summer 2009 Community Food Mapping Project) and also explain our bond campaign and how you can help support or become a member of the West End Food Co-op.
