LIFEmovement PRESENTS: KRS ONE Stop the Violence Movement is coming to Toronto, On, June 9th - 12th. The week begins on Tuesday June 9th, with a Press Conference and launch, at Palisades Cinema, through the week there will be panel discussions at City Hall and Ryerson, community outreach and connecting with local talent, this will end with a final concert on Friday, June 12th, where Wild Core Presents KRS ONE at the Opera House.
LIFEmovement BIO
We are a collective of youth advocates who come from various backgrounds with deep insight, experience and knowledge about the issues that affect today’s youth. Through our roles in work and life we represent a large constituency of community organizations, agencies and grassroots groups who are all working toward similar goals. Today, this movement is comprised of people who love and work in the fields of Journalism, Film, Radio, Marketing and Sales, Community Development, Program Design, Facilitation, Fashion, Dance, Music Production, Social Work, Labor Unions and Alternative Education.
LIFEmovement DIALOGUE
The community feels it very crucial to come up with solutions to the issues that we currently face. In recognizing this a collection of community members to engage in discussion in search of collaborative solutions. Bringing the experiences of KRS ONE we aim to contextualize this dialogue. Learning from the experiences of KRS One’s experience through his work of the Stop the Violence
campaign.
