Kay and Young's FloristAvenue at Davenport is renowned for being fresh-cut flower central. Kay and Young's Florist in particular, whose rainbow of roses line the corner year-round.

Lots of variety & great prices, but personally, I prefer their competitor a few stores south of them (on the same block) -- Grower's Market. They are much friendlier & just as price competitive. Grower's also does gorgeous arrangements & boutquets, I think better than Kay's.

Hi there! Kay and Young has been taken over by a new owner recently and their selection and customer service is fantastic. I think the new owner's name is Chris. He seems to have a great eye for arrangements and boquets (I was happy with what he did for me the other week). He also tries to bring in product that is a little different and unique, stuff you might not be able to find elsewhere on that block. Highly recommended!

I have been shopping at Kay & Young for 40+ years. This has been a family run business and Chris is the newest family member to manage the shop. The flowers and the service here are the best. I ordered flowers for a friend who lost her dog and Chris made the most amazing white bouquet of casablancas, other lillies, large and small roses, bunched roses, etc. Everyone at the office were in awe of the beautiful arrangement and my friend just loved it. I would recommend Kay & Young over any florist in Toronto at any time. They have never disappointed and in fact always add a little more to the arrangement. They deliver arrangements in a timely manner and although I have used other florists if I happen to be walking by, I keep coming back to Kay & Youngs They are the best. Ask for Chris

Not impressed with Kay and Young. Rude, not helpful when I asked for recommendations and the flowers were kinda cheesy. I wasn't familiar with the area and went after BlogTo's recommendation but will NOT be going back.

I tried to put in an order today for delivery. The first thing I was told was "not today". They then hummed and hawed over the location as it wasn't convenient for them (avenue and lawrence). I eventually said I would try elsewhere and they seemed only too happy to hang up.
I order flowers regularly and I've never experienced a florist that doesn't want the order and doesn't go the extra mile to help.

Went to Kay and Young's after reading this blog cuz I thought they were affordable. They end up being the more expensive ones from the whole block of florist. The service was horrible, after I asked for a quote for my civic wedding (very low budget), and after chasing her around the store, she finally told me thatjust the bouquet would be over $150 plus the centerpieces and boutonniere and I replied by confirming with the lady the total price and she replied "Is not that what I just said?" I left immediately the place and went to the other 3-4 stores and compared the prices per single flower and decided that KEN'S FLOWERS were the cheapest ones and I talked to the lady and she stopped everything to explain to me all my options and help me decide what would look better and even offered me to buy the bases herself at Dollorama, so I wouldn't have to pay for expensive ones there or anywhere else. I felt overwhelm by joy with her attention. I would recommend them to anyone.

I made a call to the store, asking to speak to the store owner in regards to collecting some of their scraps for a natural dye project that i'm working on for school. The store owner was extremely rude & not helpful, definitely not friendly service-even on the phone.

I just called for a last minute quote on white roses and loved the help I received.
Friendly, helpful and very accommodating!
