I don't know what it is about this store, but they are very unfriendly and cold (as is the one across the street called Klaus). You would expect them to have impeccable customer service (b/c they deal with high end goods) but, sadly, they don't. Despite being the only customer there, no one bothered to say "hello" to me. Granted, one staff member looked at me, but she quickly turned the other way as if I wasn't welcome.

One thing's for sure, though: I will gladly spend my money elsewhere.

The worst part is that they are so UN web savvy that they probably won't even come across the previous comment (left Nov. 9/08) for years - if ever. (And if they have since found it, they didn't demonstrate Clue # 1 as to how to refute it.) Their own website is not working and frankly, I had never even HEARD of them before running across this review (and I'm familiar with most of the smaller, high end retailers in the GTA dealing with both retail and contract/trade furniture sales, so obviously their advertising and media relations efforts totally suck.

If I want impeccable service you can go to a place called IKEA, you can even serve yourself plastic meatballs for $1.50. Timeless quality product at exclusive fair prices. Whenever I shop here they're always professional and discerning. Thank you for being in T.O.

Love that IKEA comment

Wow! It always amazes me how totally over entitled North American consumers are. You are trashing their customer service because you walked into their store and no one offered to help you. Hey you know what usually works, ASKING for help when you NEED it.

In terms of marketing, they carry the type of brands that bring their customers to them: Cassina, Boffi, Flexform, Molteni etc.

Furthermore when you actually do talk with any of the staff their they are incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Hell they basically gave me hours of free interior design advice when I purchased my sofa from them.

Sofa King, are you an idiot? You're comparing Ikea with a high-end retailer where one would expect superior customer service. You're comparing apples with oranges.

Also, Moneesha said that she was purposely ignored by staff. Do you think anyone would then want to ask for help from staff who obviously don't want to help her?! The blame is not on her. The blame is on staff for creating an environment where some people are attended to while others are purposely not.

Ital Interiors is fabulous as is Neinkamper (Klaus).
The staff in both establishments are great.
Sometimes you only need to say hello
You will not be bother until you ask for assistance, so take your time and look around.
Not like Kiosk where you can't make a move, especially the women. The staff is told to try and sell you something, anything to make a sale and commission.
So irritating, can't stand this company.
Please give Ital Interiors and Neinkamper another try.
Plus there furniture is amazing.

I have had quite a long, wonderful experience with Italinteriors and they are highly respected in the high end furniture group. My goodness, Boffi, Cassina...come on. Never heard of them...really? Some small town people unfortunately may be intimidated and perhaps too quick to judge...
