I love this place. All of the baked goods are house-made right in the cafe, and the smell of baking often fills the small space making it impossible not to buy something. There is a rare main floor accessible bathroom (that can also fit a stroller) and all the comforts of home.

Great coffee shop. I never went in this place much when it was under the previous ownership because I found the owner to be unfriendly. But the new owner is delightful. She's very friendly and welcoming. And most importantly, she makes absolutely delicious homemade soups and baked desserts. The soups are never too salty or heavy--nice flavours. And the desserts are just the right sweetness and very tasty.

This cafe makes my favourite americano in town, hands down. I also completely agree with Eve with regards to the change of ownership, it is now such a welcoming local coffee shop!

The staff is great super friendly, the coffee needs to improve a bit if they continue with good training it would be an amazing combo, quiches and coffee. Cheers

Soon True Brew is going to be offering a wider range of items like smoothies, salads and gluten free goodies

I was just walking past True Brew this afternoon and was sad to see the blinds drawn and signs up saying the business has closed. I peered between the blinds and saw that the place was gutted - counters, furniture, etc. all gone. What a shame, as this was one of the places that I thought was starting to take this Danforth and Woodbine area up a notch or two.
