you're star rating system is kinda sucky, i went to give the cafe a five star rating and it popped up as a three. the coffee is superb, the staff is great and the wifi is wonderful. very Mac friendly place as well. and kid friendly. seating is a little tight but, patrons are for the most part genial, generous, and easy going so getting up to let people sit is never a big deal. Not for the edgy timecrunched blackberry set, fer sure. Thank god. An oasis.

BMO - I just tested it and the star rating system appears to be working properly. You simply click on the star you wish to rate it. So, if you want to give it 5 stars you click on the star on the far right.

THE BEST LONDON FOGS in the city!!!
I tried the Lemon square for the first time and it was to die for... So tart and sweet goes perfect with a London Fog.

I will be going back for more!!

This place is awesome! Went for the first time today. Awesome coffee and amazing service. They also have a really nice set-up and a great patio. Didn't have any of the food, but it all looked great! One of the best coffee shops in the city. The only issue for me is that it's a trek and a half to get to- but next time I'm in the area I'll be coming back forsure :).

The warm and welcoming environment is only underscored by the GREAT coffee and the date squares! These little guys are terrific! What a nice change from 'dark sugar jam with oats!" From one baker to another, many thanks!

This coffee shop has one major defult, its owners. Pam has to be one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to in my life. I've been in and out of the coffee shop a number of times and love their staff and food but as an owner of such a lovely place you think Pam would be a little nicer. No, she always acts like she is stressed out and is very rude to people. I've stopped going here because of their food is over priced and rude owners.

This is in response to "Emma" and her negative comments about Pam, one of the owners of RED ROCKET. I know Pam very well; both professionally and personally. I can say without a doubt that she goes above and well beyond the call of duty to be pleasant to her customers- even when she is stressed out, sick, or in a bad mood. There may be the odd time that she will "give back" what she's been given...if you're is nasty to her she be might not serve you with a smile. My advice to "Emma": try opening you own business in the service industry and see how relaxed you feel. Secondly, take a really good look in the mirror.

There aren't enough grains of salt to take with your comment. You're not exactly unbiased Mike (not that Emma was either). I really like this place because it's a great alternative to Starbucks.

Who cares about people's bad moods, customer or patron, so long as they don't befoul my food, a la 'Fight Club'; the service industry has no consciousness of that word, 'service', in Toronto. You pay less for better, nicer, more professional service, and better food, in TOKYO no less.

I used to work here and it was by far my favourite job ever. Not only are the owners wonderful people, but the atmosphere, food, drinks, and staff are outstanding. Everyone will go out of their way to make sure your Red Rocket experience is nothing but the best. If you haven't checked it out yet, go now!

I'd like to applaud the owner of Plan B (the same person who owns t-shirt guys next door) for in his words 'having sense enough to know he was in over his head trying to run a cafe himself' - PLAN B has leased the coffee bar to RED ROCKET COFFEE!
Red Rocket has had the sense to keep Alanna on mornings and the flower shop is still run by Kate. I can't image a better partnership and the we in the building are grateful.
