may0406_cappucino.jpgThis was the gorgeous sight set before me last night at Faema cafe (672 Dupont, at Christie). Not for me, but for my mother -- a really picky Tuscan. It's the only cappucino she never complains over... and what a relief that is.

Shortly after came a warm, soft and delicious waffle with vanilla bean ice cream... so good, we ate it before I remembered to snap a photo.

I have been going to Faemas since it opened many years ago. Their lattes have always been the best in my opinion. Their food is really good as well. My only beef with them at present is that they have changed the lighting, its a lot brighter than it used to be. Before it had wonderful low light in there, it felt really cozy and intimate, and it was just perfect. Now they have turned them up and well, it gives the place a much colder feel now unfortunately.

I have been going to Faema since it opened years ago. Their lattes and cappucinos are great! I've read a few reviews that said the opposite, they must have been someplace else because that's so untrue. Their coffees are truly wonderful. Their food is also good and mostly really healthy, an added bonus.

The only thing I can suggest to make it better is a wider variety of food. They had a much bigger menu last year as opposed to now. Overall, good food, good coffee.

I have also been going to Faema since it opened and love it there coffees are great and menu WAS fantastic. Recently however, there has been a menu change and favourite items have been removed. My beef is why change something that is working well. I was very disappointed to see the menu change especially removing the nocchi and mussels. They were so good. The food we had with the new menu was pizza and it was great.

Hope they will reconsider and go back to the old menu

I have also been going to Faema for years, not to eat but to get my machine serviced as it was bought at their original davenport store. Their service is unfriendly, they are uncooperative and over charge. I would recommend that people not buy coffee machines from them, unless you want years of torture ahead of you.

We have been going to Faema Cafe for years. Just recently, on two different occasions, we have had to wait 45 mins-1 hour for a pizza of all things. Their service is going down hill. Waiters long suffering but seem powerless to do anything. Apparently the kitchen is understaffed. Don't go!

After popping in weekly for our cafe lattes (some of the best), we decided it was time to take the plunge and go for brunch. The service: fantastic! The food: lacking in presentation and quantity. I ordered an Eggs Benedict, with 1 slice of orange as garnish, and 5 mini potato halves rolling around on my porcelain plate (yes, there were that few). For the price I paid, I felt the amount lacking and left faema-ished.
