What an experience to be at this place in Toronto. Was in Toronto for the week and discovered this amazingly cool place from the photo of it's attractive building on the annex map. I ended going there four times in the course of 6 days. There's so much there ... gelato (even though it was freezing outside), several pastries (chocolate raspberry tart my favourite), memorable Saturday brunch and an unbelievable dinner just a few hours later. I look forward to being there on my next trip to Toronto in May. The service was great in all of my visits ... very personable, and the place soooo relaxing. If anyone knows of any place else like this in Toronto I'd appreciate knowing. I've never experienced food so good (and reasonably priced) anything like it anywhere in my travels.

Came there twice, once with my mother on a recommendation from a friend, and once again by myself while waiting for my laundry to finish drying down the road. The first time we came in we stood in front of the display for awhile and no one ever looked at us or asked if we wanted anything, so we left. The second time I came in just after their lunch rush, and stood in front of the cash for awhile, and no one asked what I wanted, so I sat myself down. I started reading the paper, and suddenly realized I had read the entire front page, and still no one asked me what I wanted so I left.

Maybe I'm invisible. AHAHAHAHA

the atmosphere is definitely comfortable and relaxing, but the food has a weird vietnamese touch to it. i ordered some sort of "roasted pork and green onion pancake" for a weekend brunch, and it turned out to be a few slices of those chinese barbecue pork on an oily, soggy green onion pancake. wonder if they bought the pork from chinatown since the restaurant is just like a few blocks away...

what the vietnamese touch was there was a bunch of pickled carrots on top, it did't complement any of the taste of the sandwich at all.

what a waste of my precious weekend lunch

I went here for lunch with my mother earlier this year and we had a delicious meal and fantastic desserts. We stayed for well over two hours and were never made to feel that it was time to go. It is a delightful place to go to relax and enjoy the company you are with.

This is the perfect place to go when you really like the company you are with. You just can't help but smile, enjoy the great food, and spend hours here without feeling rushed at all. Great place!
