What makes a club is the people in it and the DJ. I went to Club XS last night and I must say I should have known something was up from the out of shape promoter girl with fake contact lenses. I clearly asked the bouncer what kind of crowd should I expect since we didn't want to party with teenagers and he said its a mature crowd. We pay to get in to find about 10 people and girls wearing tops for dresses; about an hour in more people showed up while some left, the DJ seemed like he was playing music from his IPOD and the drinks came in clear plastic cups. If I'm going to pay $7.50 for a drink can I at least have a real glass? Not to mention I was partying with kids that clearly came in with fake IDs and looked like they just walked out of their day jobs at the mall. I had my $200 shoes on next to girls in flats and guys in flip flops, hoddies and hats. Had I known in advance I would have walked in my pajamas and they would still let me in. Republik was amazing and Club XS is joke.
