I ordered 20 mini cupcakes and one regular cupcake for my mother-in-law's birthday. When I picked them up they were so pretty and I was so excited to share them with the family. As we were starting to devour them ( they were tasty), I notice that there was a blond hair in my Nutella cupcake. I picked it off, was slightly grossed out and grabbed another cupcake. While thoroughly inspecting the next one I was going to eat, I found another hair!!!There were THREE cupcakes that each had a blond hair in them. I was disgusted and the rest of the family were deterred from eating any more.
The next day, we brought the three cupcakes back to the shop, all with their accompanying hairs. Nicol came out to speak with us and simply said, " sometimes it happens". There was no apology, only awkward silence. She then said, " so, do you want your money back?" I replied, " Ya, I guess so." I paid $40.00 for the cupcakes, only half were eaten and she then hands me $6.00 for the 3 cupcakes that hair hairs in them.
I was shocked! She didn't care at all and she certainly wasn't concerned with an upset customer. She had this look like it wasn't a big deal and I had no idea how to react because I was so surprised at her ignorance.
I will never go back to this pastry shop due to the ignorance to hygiene and customer service. I hope that sharing my story will make you think twice about getting desserts from Nicol's Pastry shop. There's Lavish Cupcakes in the next plaza that also has great cupcakes and much better service!!!!

I'm a major fan of sweets and decided to get some pastries at none other than Nicol's pastry shop! While I was there I was rudely treated by the staff.

The point is: one of the irresponsible employees left their iPhone on a table for costumers and I mistakenly took theirs, thinking it was mine.

After I left the shop, there was two guys who chased me down and accused me of stealing while swearing and calling me a thief. I returned it to them with no intention of stealing. The two men just wouldn't listen to me when I tried to explain that it was a misunderstanding. They kept swearing profanity everywhere. I didn't realize I had the phone on me. I returned it to them with no intention of stealing.

Their pastries are so garbage I left it on the ground and the guy even picked it back up! I guess he's going to resell it again which is gross because who would want used baked goods? Don't go to Nicol's people because customers are thieves and I suppose that's why they are empty for business!

I celebrated my birthday with high tea at nicols pastry shop. Everything was prepared beautifully from the beautiful linen and the fine china to the delicious food. The quiche appetizers were delicately prepared and the scones, finger sandwiches, and pastries were as good as at the Royal York hotel.
I have to praise nicol and her staff on their service. Is not easy to put up with 25 women who had a great time.
