Future Bakery has two locations in St. Lawrence Market, located directly across from each other. One has a huge selection of breads and the other sells cakes, tarts and other baked goods.

The Future Bakery in St.Lawrence Market serves good food, but they are cheapskates. I made a large purchase, and then asked for a cup of tapwater. They refused to give it to me, and demanded I purchase bottled water.

Unless things have changed recently - their bread is very good but their pastries are absolutely abysmal.

I really like all of the Future Bakery bread products -- it's so hard to find bread anymore that is not sourdough. However, the thing about the staff at the St. Lawrence Market location is that they are inattentive and distracted. They are more interested in gossiping and laughing among themselves than waiting on customers.

They sell delicious custard tarts. I would not buy the Napoleon.

the clerk dealt with my loaf of bread while using the same pair of gloves while handling the bread and the money

Staff need a training course in hygenic handling of food and money...as a Registered Nurse I was disgusted.

Staff need a training course in hygenic handling of food and money...as a registered Nurse I was disgusted that the clerk held and sliced my loaf of bread, and also made change from a $20.00 bill while using the same pair of gloves.

The pastry's there are very nice but the staff are horrible. I've been there a few times in the past few weeks and non of the people there smile, talk to you, or seem at all nice. These people need to have some classes on how to work with people. Just because of they're rude behaviour and stand offish attitude i no longer feel like i want to buy things there.

This morning, I bought a couple of cookies for my son and I told the lady she could keep the change which was a few cents. She rolled her eyes and made a ptf noise. How exceptionally rude! I should've asked for my change. Next time I will certainly not be giving them a tip. In fact, that really turned me off and I probably won't shop there again.
