Rob Ford squeeze toy worthy of our frustrating mayor

Posted by Derek Flack / December 4, 2013

Rob Ford Squeeze ToyFor all the fervour over the Rob Ford bobblehead toys, which you'd be forgiven for thinking was a sign of the impending apocalypse, it really wasn't a toy/statuette/waste of plastic befitting of the Toronto mayor. Besides the fact that it looked more like his brother Doug, it ultimately had no use value. That's not the case with the latest toy dedicated to the one and only RoFo. The Squeeze Ford Stress Toy not only more closely resembles the mayor, but it allows one to relieve his frustrations by repeatedly crushing Ford's likeness.

Recently launched as a Kickstarter project, the squeeze toy doesn't have a retail price yet, but an $8 donation to the fund will get one sent out in the mail for you. Should the project prove successful enough, different versions of the Mayor are in the works. Yes, it might not be the most innovative product ever made, but there's something novel about the idea of being able to take out one's frustrations on a squeeze toy version of the mayor. Check out the Kickstarter promo below.

Rumour has it that if you squeeze it hard enough, a puff of crack smoke comes out of its mouth.

If you're that frustrated with the mayor that you would purchase this you need to find something else to do with your life

I'd point out where the shift key was, but it looks like you found it by accident once.

Typing is hard.

Yup, again, article by Chris or Derek. You guys need to get a life. Or maybe go back to writing some of the interesting stuff we know you are capable of. This juvenile crap really brings you down.

dear blogTO, you guys need to give it a rest. you're starting to come of as lame and you are legitimizing the claims by the Ford Nayshun that you are unfairly targeting him.

...only there isn't a squeeze toy of Wynne and this article isn't about her, is it? Yes, yes, I know the Liberals screwed up and you would really rather we all forgot about Rob Ford. But I'm afraid the rest of the ITO document is being released on Friday, so I would suggest you rest up - you've got a lot of angry, irrelevant trolling ahead of you!

Ford loved those crappy bobbleheads.

He failed to see that we are making effigies to mock him.
Probably because he's a narcissist & loves the attention.

Richard Nixon rubber masks became hugely popular around the time Americans started to hate him.

Steve is like this naturally all day everyday. Always trying to come off whitty, but sounding juvenile. Don't expect any better from him. He'll never change.

I love bobbleheads. Wish there was one for each councillor. We could make short comedy skits with them and post them online. I already have a script written for one. I swear Toronto City Council is ripe for the pickings. Why hasn't anyone spoofed them yet?

Rumor is that it's Ford himself who's trying to make money out of his own demise, via « yet another funding site » as the other funding he's raising to pay for his judicial fees (the man is so poor, and Canadian judiciary system is so inaccessible and elitist... *cough*)
