BuskerFest Photo Contest

From August 23rd to 26th, some of the most talented street performers in the world will gather near the St. Lawrence Market as part of BuskerFest 2007.

This year, in partnership with BuskerFest and Eye Weeky, we're holding a photo contest. If you take the winning photo you walk away with a new HP Photosmart R937 Digital Camera and Photosmart 7D360 Colour Photo Printer. Plus, your photo will be featured in the September 6th issue of Eye Weekly.

Contest theme: "BuskerFest 2007" (the photo must be taken of and during BuskerFest 2007, between August 23 - 26th, 2007)

Submission deadline: Monday, September 3rd, 11:59PM Eastern Time

How to participate:

1. Take photos of and during BuskerFest (August 23 - 26th, 2007).

2. Each participant can submit up to 5 images. If a participant submits more than 5 entries, only the first 5 will be considered.

3. Upload your contest submissions to the blogTO Flickr Pool, tagged with the string "Buskerfest2007". If you are not already a Flickr user, you'll need to first create an account, then join the blogTO Group before adding your tagged photos to the pool. If you would prefer not to do this, you can also email us your photos to buskerfest [at] blogto [dotcom].

4. Be sure to submit before the posted deadline. Submissions received after the deadline will not be eligible.

5. Watch for the winner announcement in the September 6th issue of Eye Weekly.

6. Submission to the contest implies permission for photos to be used for non-commercial or promotional purposes by blogTO, BuskerFest and Eye Weekly.

7. Photo Requirements:

Images must be taken during and depict the events of Buskerfest in Toronto, 2007.

Images must be JPEGs.
Images submitted to our Flickr Pool must be tagged: buskerfest2007
Digital and analog methods, and darkroom techniques are permitted.

Other Info:

The winning photo will be chosen by a panel of judges from blogTO, BuskerFest and Eye Weekly. If your photo is selected as the winner we might contact you for a high resolution version if one has not been provided.
