Charles Taylor Prize Shortlist

Got the February blahs?

I know you don't want to go out when it's so durn cold, but do you really need to watch another rerun?

You can curl up on the sofa with a cuppa and settle down with the short-listed nominees for the The Charles Taylor Prize:

The Greek for Love: Memoir of Corfu - James Chatto
Curse of the Narrows: The Halifax Explosion of 1917 - Laura M. MacDonald
Dead Man in Paradise - J.B. MacKinnon
The Boys, or Waiting for the Electricians Daughter - John Terpstra

So when your friends claim you're sacrificing your social life, you can defend yourself with your gain in intellectual currency.

Or you can wait for the winner to be announced on Monday (the 27th), and just read the winner (who, incidentally, gets 25K, the lucky devil).

images courtesy of the CTP - speaking of - the covers are pretty hot, eh? How much do I love the cover for Dead Man in Paradise? And Greek for Love is a respite from winter at first glance.

But of course, it's what's inside that counts.
