Carousel Mag Launches at Spin Tonight

The magazine world is a touch place to survive in -- let alone stand out of the crowd while you're there.

In support of those who chose to taken on the challenge, we can be active readers, painlessly supporting them with more than a subscription... by this, I mean attending the launch parties of course! ;)

Carousel, a literary & arts magazine, is one of a number of new and interesting Canadian mags have been making waves in recent months. Tonight they launch issue 18 at Spin Gallery (1100 Queen St W, 2nd floor).

Entertainment this evening kicks off at 8pm with "experimental readings" by performance-poets W. Mark Sutherland and gustave morin, followed by guitar improv by Aidan Baker, and sound performance by Chris Bissonnette (of Thinkbox).

The Carousel party will also play host to the release of Bissonnette's solo recording "Periphery".

A suggested donation of $8 at the door in encouraged and will be met with a free copy of Carousel.

2-year (4-issue) subscriptions will also be available at entrance for $25.

More info on the artists and the mag can be found at carouselmagazine.ca.
