OCAD Grad Exhibit & Benefit Clothing Sale

Local designer Geoff Taylor of Royal Designs is now accepting special custom orders to benefit the grad art show his soon-to-be alma mater, the Ontario College of Art and Design. The OCAD Graduation Exhibition, taking place this weekend, is always a good bet for the novel, the inspired and the unique from local up-and-comers. In their own words:

"OCAD's graduating students explore and test boundaries in their thesis work in all areas of art and design including drawing and painting, photography, sculpture/installation, ceramics, printmaking, jewellery, textiles, integrated media, advertising, illustration, graphic design, industrial design, and environmental design. The class of 2006 transforms the university campus [...] into an extraordinary exhibition of emerging talent. Come and challenge your perceptions."

As for Taylor's creations, there are several styles and options to choose from. Prices are amazingly reasonable too, especially considering the fact that all items are custom printed. Folks in the know have been snatching these up, so here's a sampling of what's still available...

Tshirts (available in all colours) $20
Hoodies (zip up or regular, available in black or grey) $40
Baseball shirts (for guys only, available in black/white) $25
Tank tops (for girls only, available in all colours plus pink and baby blue) $15
Wifebeaters (for guys only, available in white)

Unless otherwise stated, the colours available are black, white, grey, army green, tan, red, royal blue).

The text (see picture) can be placed anywhere on the clothes; no text is also an option. Special requests can be accomodated.

Psst: Attendees will have the opportunity to watch demos in the jewellry, ceramics, fibre and printmaking studios. There will also be student and alumni work for sale.
