Morning Brew: Ford helps Liberals win 416, Apple store turns into makeshift memorial for Steve Jobs, young people are educated but unemployed, McDonald's wants bigger signage and Leafs win season opener
So is it true? Did Ford Nation actually win the election for the Liberals? Could be. Seems like disapproval for the right-wing resulted in a third-straight-loss for the provincial Tories as Dalton McGuinty's Liberals took 19 out of 23 ridings in the 416 area. Even Liberals considered "vulnerable" claimed easy victories. The NDP failed to Orange Crush their way to much improvement, though Rosario Marchese did retain the Trinity-Spadina riding for the NDP.

The Eaton Centre's Apple Store was turned into a makeshift memorial for Steve Jobs yesterday. In honour of the late Apple co-founder, mourners left candles, flowers, and even old iPods at the foot of the store's window. Pens and paper were also left out for Mac users to write their own tributes to Jobs. iCare? No, WeCare.
Are you a recent graduate who's unemployed and lives at home with mom and dad? You're not alone. With the job market saturated with more eager applicants than actual jobs, more and more young people are doing unpaid internships, and, uh, freelance work, than ever before.
For some reason McDonald's still thinks they've got the cachet they had back in the '80s. That must be the reason for why the fast-food chain is requesting sign bylaw exemptions from the city so its familiar golden arch can look bigger and supposedly better as they renovate their 1,400 Canadian stores in an attempt to look "cozier". The city is considering the request.
