What's happening in the GTA (and sometimes beyond):

This weekend it was announced that we beat out Stockholm in our bid for the 2014 World Pride Event. It's a long way away still, but I have no doubts that this is going to be one massive party for Toronto.

The incredible Body Worlds exhibit is back, and at least one person is really into it. The first person who calls Toronto home to sign up to be a plastination subject in the future is Stef Chapu, a client services rep for a mutual funds company. It's crazy to think that one day she'll look something like this.

He was on his way home from night-clubbing in the Entertainment District when he was struck by an SUV and killed. Police are saying that it was an intentional hit, and that it's very likely that the vehicle in question will be on camera... and are encouraging the driver to come forward and give him/herself up.

The much-anticipated H1N1 (aka Swine Flu) vaccine is almost ready to go. Approval is expected to come this week, and administration soon thereafter.

How's this for stimulus spending?

And during what was a busy weekend (I moved to a new place in the Annex, and I'm beat), here's what blogTO was up to:
