The Toronto Star Gets a Facelift - Anyone Notice?

The Toronto Star has unveiled a new look to their web site. Details of the updates are summarized on this page.

I have to admit, it took me a few moments to clue in that there had been some changes. Overall, the look seems about the same; but on closer inspection there's obviously been some content added and moved around including some recent reader comments added to the left side of the page below the page fold.

There's also a lot more cross promotion of Torstar content and web sites happening. There are now big chunky boxes on the right hand side pimping yourhome.ca, wheels.ca, parentcentral.ca, healthzone.ca and a few other sites. Surprisingly absent is promotion for the much maligned Toronto.com that based on this link the powers that be are looking to revamp once again.
