Elton John buys penthouse in one of Toronto's most anticipated condos

The Rocket Man has a new pad in Toronto and it's in one of the city's coolest and most anticipated condo buildings.

In a sit-down conversation with the Globe and Mail's Johanna Schneller, Sir Elton John revealed his new two-storey, four terraced home is located in KING Toronto, smack in the middle of the city's fashion district.

In case you didn't know, KING Toronto is probably one of the most talked about condo projects, intended to look like mountainous, stacked units with live trees placed throughout the building.

John's unit of course is the penthouse and will be occupied with husband David Furnish and their two young children.

These penthouse units are the pièce de résistance of the entire building.

"Inspired by their setting atop the North, South, East and West Mountains, the Penthouses are envisioned as floating sanctuaries, each overlooking a different part of Toronto. What we have created with these mountaintop Penthouses are unlike anything in the city," reads the condo website.

The penthouse is known as The Treehouse, and boasts custom brass detailing, arched wine cellars, private tea rooms, en suite tea rooms and custom libraries that span two floors.

Built by Denmark's Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) the condo itself has two pools, a courtyard, sauna and steam room spaces, indoor gym and four separate lobbies.

Final completion of KING Toronto is expected to end by fall 2023 with homes starting at a hefty $1.3 million, to around $5 million and climbing.

The article reveals John has no plans for any future Toronto shows, but that doesn't mean he won't be spotted throughout the city soon!
