Toronto restaurant that's been a neighbourhood staple for 40 years has permanently closed
A restaurant that has permanently closed down in Toronto is already turning into something else.
Amber Eureopean Restaurant served Polish and Eastern European food, and shut its doors last month.
"It has been a pleasure to serve our community for so many years, and we hope that everyone will find other great places to enjoy good, wholesome food," reads a closure announcement on the restaurant's website.
Located on Bloor West near High Park, the restaurant had been in business for over 40 years.
They served traditional dishes like borsch, goulash, Siberian pelmeny, blintzes and schnitzel. They also had Polish and Ukrainian beer, and strudel for dessert.
Amber was actually known for serving some of the best cabbage rolls and perogies in the entire city.
The restaurant permanently closed their doors as of Oct. 31. Signs are already up in the window for La Capricciosa Restaurant & Pizzeria.
