Toronto Restaurant Openings: P&L Burger, Boots & Bourbon Saloon, Sammy's Sammies, Grasshopper

Toronto Restaurant Openings highlights the latest restaurant openings and closings in Toronto and also gives a preview of what's coming soon. Find us here every Thursday morning.

OPEN NOW

  • Touhenboku Ramen, a new Japanese noodle shop is now open at 261 Queen West.
  • The Dock Ellis, a new sports bar at 1280 Dundas Street opens today, Thursday, November 14th and is serving what I've heard are "really f*cking good nachos and fried chicken".

OPENING SOON

  • P&L Burger is opening December 2nd at 507 Queen West (until recently, the White Squirrel Snack Shop). The new joint from Chef Matty Matheson and the group behind Parts & Labour will launch with a 15-item menu featuring fresh ground beef burgers like a cheesy mushroom Philly burger, and a mozzarella-topped Italian burger.
  • Boots & Bourbon Saloon, a cowboy-themed, country music, line-dancing destination from Rock Lobster's Matt Dean Pettit is slated to open early next month on a Queen East. (via Toronto Life)
  • Sammy's Sammies will be opening at 785 Queen Street instead of New Delhi Burger as previously reported. The yet to open sandwich shop has already posted their first menu online boasting 10 sandwiches like the monstrous Triple Down, a bacon lattice bun stuffed with peameal and rasher bacon and dressed with bacon jam.
  • Grasshopper, a new vegeterian restaurant is soon to open at 310 College Street (formerly the Mexi-Can Market).

CLOSING

  • The Fuel House at 53 Clinton Street is seemingly deadpool. The address was listed for lease a few months back and now both the restaurant's website and phone number are down.
