pick your own tulips

You can pick your own tulips at a farm near Toronto next month

Spring has finally arrived in Toronto, and while we've already experienced plenty of April showers, May flowers will be blossoming in a matter of weeks.

If you love welcoming the season with beautiful blooms, Country Cut Flowers in Newsmarket has picturesque rolling hills full of flowers to wander through, and you can even pick your own.

May is the season for tulips and daffodils, and Country Cut Flowers welcomes you to stop in for a morning, afternoon, or evening of flower-cutting.

As the season continues, peonies will bloom on the farm in June, and by mid-July, their main flower patches will be full of varieties including zinnias, snapdragons, dahlias, sunflowers, and many more.

Country Cut Flowers grows all-natural flora free of chemicals, and just with sunshine, water, and compost.

They also host several different workshops onsite, including flower arranging, botanical dyeing, and even meditation within the fields.

Country Cut Flowers' hours vary on a daily basis, but you can check their Instagram and Facebook pages for updates.

Tickets for their Cut-Your-Own-Flowers experience start at $45 per person and include one mason jar to fill with flowers that you can choose and cut yourself.
