The NBA is taking over Toronto's Thompson Hotel

Basketball's biggest stars will descend upon Toronto for the NBA All-Star weekend. And they'll be holing up at the Thompson Hotel.

The National Basketball Player's Association (NBPA) has rented out the entire hotel for this high-profile event, happening between February 12 and 14.

Along with bringing in nine HD TVs for a 60 square-foot media wall, the Thompson will treat players to poutine and peameal bacon sandwiches, both of which will be available at the 24-hour Thompson Diner. As for drinks, the hotel will be stocking up on bottles of Louis XIII cognac, which usually retail for $6,500 on site.

To outfit the stars in their downtime, the hotel at Bathurst and Wellington will offer XXXXXL bathrobes and oversized slippers.

It won't, however be easy to get a peek at the stars. If you're hoping to get on the Thompson's famous rooftop bar this weekend, you may be out of luck because the hotel's ramping up security ahead of the NBA-related festivities.

Correction: An earlier version of this post stated that the NBA had rented the hotel for all of its players, when in fact it's the NBPA who is putting some players up for the weekend.
