Bunny Ranch brothel owner eyes Toronto

Bunny Ranch owner Dennis Hof is on his way from Nevada to Toronto to scout potential land holdings in the wake of the Canadian Supreme Court's progressive ruling on sex work that struck down all three of Canada's prostitution-related laws last week (no this isn't just a headline we dreamed up), which in part would allow brothels to function legally. A pimp by any other name is still a pimp so a potential Bunny Ranch isn't exactly the type of thing sex work activists are celebrating - they're more interested in keeping sex workers, who will exist regardless of legislation, safe.

Yet Hof's employees pay taxes and meet all health and legal requirements, so if everyone's willing this newsbite isn't as unsettling as it might seem (as Hof would say - "relax"). Nonetheless it will be the boutique brothels with yoga-for-tots, loose tea, and doggie daycare in the building - dungeon adjacent - that Torontonians will welcome with most open arms. Arms, and whatever else.

What do you think? Can Toronto the Good bear a Bunny Ranch?
